If I could give 10 stars, I would. Everything about the process and day was so smooth and easy! Every single person who worked there was so kind and helpful! There are wagons to help you bring your stuff down to the boat, you can rent a tube from the store and they helped us hook it up right! They gave us tips about the areas, helped us dock when we came in, overall made sure we were prepared to have a great day! It was seriously the easiest and smoothest process! Lake James is super beautiful! Lots of clean water to swim and lots of beautiful scenery!
The best way to truly enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lake James area is out with your family on a boat. They provided a new Godfrey tritoon that was perfect for our week on the lake. LJ Boat Rentals makes the process easy and we will definitely rent from them again.
The best boats on Lake James. Rented a boat Sunday for a bachelorette bash. It was a real BLAST! Henry & Eric were so kind and helpful as we worked to get the boat decorated. They allowed us to come early to do that, so we didn’t have to use our lake time. The boat was very clean on the top and bottom level. Great radio system, life vest provided on the boat, and plenty of room for everyone to sit. The slide was just the icing on the cake. The boat was full of gas ready to go when we were. All we had to do was get on connect to the radio and drive. Super smooth ride very easy to drive and navigate. At the end of our trip Henry and Eric were there waiting at the dock to help us get pulled back into the slip and off of the boat. It was a perfect day. Great boats with great customer service. I absolutely recommend this business to anyone looking for a worry free day out on the lake.
Exceptional day on the lake! Henry helped us out with a clean , roomy & well appointed pontoon boat. Loved the ability to enjoy our playlist & the Garmin GPS was a great help navigating around the lake. The boat was a 2021 model — perfect condition & looked new. We have rented from other outfitters in past years & this was by far our best experience on Lake James!
Had a blast at lake James today. The crew at lake James boat rentals made this experience the best. Multiple times a year I have rented from them and every year has been a success. From the time you get to the marina they guide you through the process making the rental part easy. The boats are super easy to access making getting items and persons loaded on the boat not a struggle. They even have pull carts available if you have multiple items to carry aboard. The boats are brand new and very clean each time. Parking is free and easy to find are also located right next to the marina where snacks are available. If you are considering renting these boats do it! They are a pleasure to deal with and very cost competitive. And as a bonus tube rental is available to pull behind the boats
We have rented a boat from Henry and Eric multiple times and have enjoyed every minute of it. The business is run smoothly and the rental process is completely stress free. They have very high quality boats that are great for water sports as well as just cruising around the lake. We would never rent a boat from anyone else!
Highly recommend!!! I just rented a boat for a lake day bachelorette party and it was amazing! There were buggies for us to use to haul all of our items to and from our car to the boat, which was very helpful. Henry & Eric were amazing. They were super helpful and accommodating. The boat was super clean and had a great radio system. The water slide was a hit. I can say 100% we made a great decision to rent a boat from them. Can’t wait to do it again!
We took out one of the BRAND NEW boats tonight and it was perfect. It was great to have the marina store open to provide us ice (since we forgot ours) and the walk to the boat slip on the new dock was easy and very stable. Henry and Eric took great care of us!! They even parked the boat for us when we got back! We will definitely be back 💙
Loved my experience here! Nice helpful people, Great location right on the water, we didn’t have to deal with the public boat ramp at all Plus no gassing up at the end of the day. they took care of everything and helped us have an amazing day. We forgot snacks but the marina next door supplied everything we needed from snack to rentals! Would highly suggest renting here we will definitely be back!!
Highly recommend renting a boat from this business. Everyone was helpful and kind. Erick was top-notch, he helped us set sail and was on the dock waiting when we returned. The boat ran smootly and was very clean. Excellent service!
